No Churches were built long ago because the English soldiers did not allow the Priest's to get a Church built. The Priests always said Mass down on a low place on the ground. When the soldiers would pass where the Priest would be saying the Mass they would run him out of the place. A Mass was said in Thomas Morleys field in Tulrahan.
