- In olden times when a person died he was laid out in the beds. Now they are laid out in the coffin. In former times the coffin wasn't brought into the house until the so of the funeral. A person who dies under twenty years means a white habit and a white coffin is used. This was done by nailing a white swank on the outside of the coffin. A person who dies from twenty onward wears a brown habit and a brown coffin is used. On the day of the funeral before the corpse is taken out the relatives gather around and cry the dead person.
