    Bhí bheirt fhear eile ar an mbaile agus sé bhí ionnta gaduidhthe caorach agus d'imthig siad an oidhche a cuireadh an fear ag goid caorach. Bhí siad ag dul thart le Roilig, áit a cuireadh an fear agus dubhairt fear aca leis an bhfear eile go mba ceart dóibh dhul isteach agus na croichínig seo a thógáil amach as faoi chloigeann an fhir. Dubhairt fear aca go ngabhfadh sé fhéin isteach agus dubhairt an fear eile go ngoidfeadh sé féin an caora.
