    There was once a widow named Bridie Colman and she lived in Connemara.

    She then told Páid not to tell anyone where the money was left. The next Sunday his mother went to Mass and it happened that a tramp came in to Páid for charity and Páid told him to go down to the chest and that he would get bread in it. The tramp went down and then a thought struck Páid that he might steal
