Long ago the newly married couple used to ride pillion on horseback. All the other guests used to ride also. What a jolly sight to see them all racing to know who would be first to reach the newly married couple's home. The married couple generally gets many presents such as tea sets, dinner sets, and many other presents.
At the end of a month the hauling home takes place. The newly married man and his wife come back to the bride's old home where fun and entertainment are held.
A bride should wear "something old and something new, something borrowed and something blue".- Bailitheoir
