Mountains seem near it is a sign of rain. When the dust is blowing high on the roads it is a sign of storm. The sea becomes a dark muddy colour before rain. When the lakes are clear it is a sign of good weather but when they are black it is a sign of bad weather. The flies are very numerous and the horse flies bite before rain. The frog gets a muddy colour and croaks before rain. When there is a a blue blaze in the fire it is a sign of storm. The chimney also roars and puffs before rain.
