Fields-The field between the present church and the river grew good crops of flax.
Another field is called the "Mustard Garden" noted for the growth of mustard which is said to have attained a height of six feet. This is said to have been the case even up to one hundred years ago. On the side of the street opposite to the present church a row of thatched houses once stood.
The Font in the Present Church- Aged about three hundred years is carved out of solid stone. Dimensions being -two feet high-two feet wide. At top -two inches thick It stands on a stone stand also- octogon shaped. Was said to have originally been a baptismal font and at the bottom is a hole-now filled- obviously used in draining the water. On the sides at the top there are holes into(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
