- In the Dublin mountains near Ticknock, there is a field owned by a person called Mrs. Conor. In the field there is a sand-pit and in the side of the sand-pit there is a cave.
The Danes are said to have hidden gold and silver vessels in it, which they robbed from the churches in the city of Dublin and the districts around the city.
They put them there for safety, and never returned for them.
No attempts have ever been made to get the treasure.
At certain times during the year the ghost of the officer of the soldiers who had put the treasure there is supposed to visit the cave to see that the treasure is safe.Collector's address is Beech Cottage- Bailitheoir
