This is what was called Sowens. It was greatly used in big farming places.People used to believe that the Sowens wouldn't turn out well if more than one person was at the stirring of the pot.
The pot stick had to be turned always the one way in the pot.Black- Puddings. These weren't much used in this district
When the farmer killed a cow he saved the blood. Some of the pudding of the cow were taken to the running stream and washed thoroughly.
