- The weather at present is very cold. The wind is blowing from the North and we are having hail showers. It is a sign that we may have snow at any time. You almost can feel the snow in the air it is so cold before it comes.
We always know when a storm is approaching when we see the cat with its back to the fire. Other signs are when the sky get black and cloudy.
Some people know when wet weather is coming by complaining of pains in their bones.
When the sky is clear we may have good weather. During the summer when the swallows fly low it is a sign of rain.- Bailitheoir
