    friendships are renewed and new ones are made. Young pigs are brought in carts and boxes. When people are going to buy a young pig they catch it by the tail to see is it all right on its legs. They mark it with the grease out of the cart when it is bought. The horse fair starts about mid-day. It is chiefly farmers that buy and sell horses. Some buy old ones; some young ones and some foals; they mostly judge them by their teeth. A great many sheep are sold at the fair such as white faced, black faced, black and white and horney sheep. The butcher buys some; the farmer buys some. Some sheep are sold two or three times in the day. It is not very often goats are seen at the fair as they are not plentiful in the district. At
