Ar an leathanach seo
- The local forge in this district is Mc. Donalds and the smith is James Mc. Donald. His father and his grandfather were smiths. The forge is in Killyclug and it is situated on the roadside.
The roof of the forge is made of boards and felt, and the door is about six feet wide and about eight high. There is only one fire-place in the forge.
The smith does not shoe cattle but he shoes horses and asses.
The smith always shoes cart wheels in the open air, but all the other work is done inside.
The forge is a great place for storytelling and most of the neighbours gather into it at night to hear the news.
