Matches are not usually made in this district and there is no dowry or goods given when anybody gets married.
It is custom for people to get married privately in their own house by paying for a special licence.

"Marry on Monday, marry for health,
Marry on Tuesday, marry for wealth,
Marry on Wednesday, the best day of all,
Marry on Thursday, marry for losses,(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
