  1. A Story
In olden times all the men in Glackmore made poteen and they sold it to people that came from far away,
It happened once that the people were making it under the ground and the (RIC) guards could not get them. After this the guards (RIC) said they would put a one hundred pounds fine on all the people if they did not tell where the poteen was being made.
The people would not tell and the fine was put on them. They would not pay the fine either and the bailiffs came to take away the cows instead of the money, There were some men herding cows on the hill and they would not let tge bailiffs take away the cows.
My grandfather was one of the men who would not give away the cows. He and many other men were put into prison for keeping the cows from the bailiffs.
