Story
There is a story told by the old people of this district about an incident which occurred in the townland of Cabry. The scene of this story is a farm on the right hand side of the road leading from Quigleys Point to Carndonagh in the peninsula of Innishowen and it is about two miles from Quigleys Point. The story tells of an old man named Babs who lived on his farm. When he found he was coming near his death he requested the people to bury him under a big bush which grew on his farm. This bush has ever since been called Bab's bush. The story relates further that Bab's said if they would not bury him under this bush he would return at midnight and he would give three screaghs which would waken the people of the district.
He was not buried under the bush and it is said that in the middle of the night after he was buried he let the three screaghs on the rock which has ever since been called the craig-rock. The people in the district were weakened by the loud screaghs which Babs let- Bailitheoir
