When the distant hills look near it is a sign of rain.
If goats come home from the fields early it is a sign of hardship.
To see sea-gulls climbing up a small hill it is a sign of rain.
It is believed that if wild geese are seen flying towards a lake it is a sign of frost.
When soot falls from a chimney rain is at hand.
If walls get damp suddenly rain is expected.
If a Sunday is wet there is a chance that the following week would be fine.
During warm weather if crows are seen flying very high in the air it is believed that such weather will continue. If a waterfall in a nearby river is heard very loudly rain is near. During a summer evening if the sky looks very red there is a possibility of fine weather.
To see blue ashes is a sign of rain.
When a fog is disappearing towards the east it is a sign of rain.
When the crane goes up the river it is a bad sign.
