At first he was frightened, but then he pucked up enough courage to investigate further. As he approached the tree warily, a white shape flew out, and into the house. As it was raining heavily, he had no other alternative but to follow it, through it was much against his will.
When he entered the house the moaning seemed to continue. Suddenly, as he was about to mount the stairs, by the light of his bicycle lamp, the object flew out again and perched on the tree. The man then saw that it was- an owl!
As it rained heavily, he slept in the house for the night. In the morning, when he went down to the village to get his bicycle repaired, and to get something to eat, he told the people what had happened They told him of the "ghost" and knew that It was laid for him.
