- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)Long ago when the Johnstons came first to Kinlough the Protestants and Catholics were fighting. The Protestants hated the Catholics but they particularly hated a priest.
One Friday morning a servant girl in Johnstons "big house" in Mount Prospect was dying and she had to get a priest. The Johnstons agreed to let the priest come and "made out" that they had no objection. At the same time they planned to make fun of the priest and have a laugh at his expense.
When the priest had finished with the sick girl and was going away, Johnston came to him, smiling, and would not hear of the priest going off without breakfast. (It was early morning).
The priest waited and was taken into the dining room(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
