    to more secure quarters and an aged woman acting as nurse managed to have the child, conveyed in it's cradle to the Rock. But the demon was on her track and the foot steps she heard approaching were not those of a heartbroken father, but the tramp of a tyrant troop who murdered herself and her charge. In their fury the child was slaughtered in the cradle as he slept in his innocence, while she was dragged a captive and paid the price of the felon. When the ferocity of the period gradually passed away and the rights of the people were partly recognized poor Archie returned. Being a stone-cutter by trade he carved the image of his child resting in the cradle, and it can still be seen
