- The well known as Tobar Pardraig is situated about a quarter mile from Kilmacurril graveyard in the small townland of Lugowna.
This well is situated in the county of Leitrim and in the parish of Cloonclare. It derives its name from the fact that its water was used by St. Patrick at the Baptism of the early converts. There are good grounds for believing in this tradition as it was on the direct route taken by St. Patrick on his journeys to and from Croagh Patrick.
Old people including Mesars Daniel O'Hara, and James Regan, state that they often heard their parents say that they attended the Patterns held at this well in the years that elapsed between the passing of Catholic Emancipation and the Famine of 1847.
Those old people who are now long dead, often told that it was customary for pilgrims to the Pattern to leave part of a garment on bushes convenient(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
