When there is red in the east at sun rise, the people say it is the sign of rain.
When there is a halo round the moon we expect rain.
A bright starry night and a north wind are the sign of frost.
Black clouds tell us that we will have heavy showers.
A rainbow at night tells us that the rain is gone from us.
One in the morning foretells that the rain is near us.
The wind from the east is not good for man or beast.
The west winds bring the most rain.
The north winds bring frost and cold.
The south winds bring heat.
When the swallows fly low, it is the sign of rain.
When the seagulls gather on the land, and when the cat scrapes the bags, it is the sign of a storm and bad weather.
