a big eel broke the chains. It fell to the bottom again and there lies to this day.
My grand father told me about a crock of gold. It situated in a field of Tom Crawford Dernasoo, Co. Roscommon.
There is a little rise in the field and on top of that there grew a little white thorn tree
Any year the field was cropped the tree was lifted up, but it always grew again.
There lived a man (?) Cootehall named Gilboy who dreamt three times that there was gold in this little tree. So one morning he came down from Cootehall which is situated in Roscommon and he lifted the crock of gold. The track of the crock is to be seen to this day.
