   There is a fort in Cashel and it is said that a boy, Ned Beirne, was coming through it one night about twelve O'Clock. He came on to a little narrow gap and when he went to go through the gap another man stood out before and would not let him pass. So he had to go back and get out on the road and go a longer way. There was another house in Cashel beside that fort and whenever a person would die in it a Banshee would cry and come outside the door. At different times there was music heard around that place.

   There is a fairy fort in my townland Liscloonadea. It is surrounded by a ditch and a row of trees on the top of it. There is a stone for the entrance which is thirty feet square. There were lights seen every night during the Winter time after the timber was cut off the ditch. There was the most beautiful music heard every night at the fort. An old resident of this district heard the music so often that he knew one of the tunes off by heart. One time two men went to level the ditch. The part of the ditch they would level during the day would be built up at night.
