There is a small lake not much bigger than a well in the townland of Drimna. It is in a valley surrounded by bog. Tradition says that there is a crock of gold buried deep in the bottom of the well. It is supposed to be left there by a fairy or leprechaun. This gold is guarded by an eel, who has its body twisted all around the crock. Whatever person is lucky enough to find the gold, has first to go at noon when the eel is asleep. He has to bring two horses with him either two black horses without a white hair in them, or two white horses without a black hair in them. He has to trace them to the crock and they will pull it out of the well When the eel finds that the crock is moving he well put his tail in his mouth and give three whistles to give the alarm.
