- There is a charm for warts and for tooth ache. There is also a charm for pharsy on horses.
Long ago there lived a man in Glouria. He used a charm for curing warts. The way in which he used the charm was:-
He would get five sops of straw about 3" or 4" in length. He would rub them to the warts and say the words of the charm at the same time, in his own mind.
When he would have the words said he would make a hole in the ground with the heel of his shoe and bury the straws there. As the straws would be rotting the warts would be going away.
Rain water off a hollow stone cures warts.
Bits of meat buried in manure is a kind of a charm for warts.- Bailitheoir
