On arriving home he found his family in dire poverty and the family of Sullivan living like princes and princesses. He was told the whole story by his wife how when Sullivan came home, he built a large castle for himself but gave her no money. The whole place is under his power now said she. I suppose said the husband you have seen many a hungry day since. That's quite true said his wife. He then produced whatever food he brought with him. It was readily devoured by the family and they retired to rest for the night. On the following morning he met McCarthy and ordered him to leave the locality but he refused to do so. He then scraped the box which he brought with him and out jumped a couple of hundred soldiers who drove McCarthy and all his friends out of the place and they haven't been seen there since.
