- Keelaclohane Wood
About a mile from Milltown is situated the famous wood known as Keelaclohane.
It is a large wood containing about ninety nine acres. In the centre of this wood there is a large flat stone. This place is known as "Poll an Aifreann". It is said that in olden days Mass used to be said there. The large stone served as an alter. On this alter there are many little statues and holy pictures. This mass-rock dates from the time of Cromwell.
Near the rock tere are four large holes. It is said that the people hearing Mass used to hide in these holes when they used see the soldiers coming.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
