  1. In a field in Lislary a bag of gold was found. A date in the reign of Queen Ann was written on the bag. The man who got it went to Dublin with his brother. They sold the gold and divided the money between them. One of the brothers bought a farm out side of Dublin. Shortly after the man who bought the farm died and the other brother came home to Lislary. One day he went down the field after a cow. While he ran through a bunch of briars and knocked the eye out of his head. "So this is my advice to you," said the man who told the story, "if you ever come across gold never have any thing to do with it. If you do you will be sorry."
The old man who told me this story died three years ago. He said it was quite true.
