    school fell and another was built of wood beside where Domnick Carroll lives at present. That school fell also and another one was built in Cloghogue.
    In the sixteenth century there was a school in Mr Gardiner's bog. The bog is situated on the top of Cloghogue mountain. At that time there was no class room. The teacher taught out in the open air. The pupils did not pay to this school. The poor and the rich went to it. After a year or so the teachers got tired of the mountains and left the place.
