- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)often eaten. Báirneachs, and mionanáns were often eaten also. People used to eat early in the evening. Báirneachs and cockles were eaten on Good Friday. They all used to eat a lot of eggs on Easter Sunday, because it was seldom they got eggs at that time. It was about fifty years ago sinse tea first came in use. Timber mugs they used before cups came into use. This story was related to me by my father.
