    After three or four months the potatoes are turned. The potatoes that grow vest around here are the American Roses.
    Some other potatoes are -
    Abundance, American Roses, Arran banner, Arran Chief, Arran victor, Kerr's pink, Epicure, Chieftains, Magnum Bonum, Up to dates, Leinster Wonders, Skerry blues, White rocks, Shamrocks, Skerry Champions, Blacksmiths. Presidents, British Queens, King Edwards, Protestants, and Elephants. Potatoes are generally sowed on a Friday and the drills are opened on a Friday. Good Friday is the luckiest day
