  1. In a nut-rock near my home there is supposed to be a hidden treasure. It is under a lone bush. There is a weasel minding it. Whoever kills the weasel with a hazel rod will find the treasure.
There was a man in Rockville who dreamt three nights in succession. On the third day he went to look for the treasure. It was under a flag with moss covering it. He scraped back the leaves and moss and saw the pot of gold. Just when he was about to take the pot of gold the leprechaun appeared to him and he fainted and when he recovered there was nothing in the pot but a handful of leaves. The Danes are supposed to have placed the treasure there. Whoever kills the weasel and gets the pot of gold will lose one eye.
This rock is in the townland of Toomore - parish of Aughrim, County Roscommon.
