Several feast days are observed in a special manner each year.
On St Stephen's day crowds of boys and grown ups too, group together and go around from house to house.
The head of the group carries a bush decorated with coloured material and flowers and they sing a funny song composed for the purpose.
The following are the words of the song.
The wren the wren the king of all birds
St Stephen's day she was caught in the furze
Although she is little her honour nis great
Stand up little laddie and give us a treat
