    Collicks visit the house where the reception is held. They disguise themselves and sing and dance around the house. A collection of money is made for them and then they depart.
    It was the custom that the bride and bridegroom should wear their Sunday clothes at the wedding. People believed long ago that if the bride visited her own home within a month after the wedding she would have illuck. It was the custom for the bridegroom to carry the bride across the threshold of her home. This was done to bring her luck.
