Cornacrieve. - The game which was most commonly played in this district long ago was “Camáns”. This game was played by means of a camán and a ball. The Camán was a piece of an ash stick with a turned head. These sticks were procured in the hedge. The ball consisted of an old spool off which all the thread was used. This game was played on the road. Two stones were placed on the road with a distance of about seven yards between them. Two other stones were placed opposite these with a distance of about seventy yards between the former and the latter stones. About eighteen inches to the side of each stone there was another stone placed. If the ball ran through the stones which marked the goal posts this was(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
