The harmful herbs on our farm are "scutch grass," "furrow ban," "lambs quarter" "dockings" thistles, and "prasaugh weed." These herbs spread rapidly and do a great deal of harm in making the land poor. Clover grows on good land and rushes grow on bad land. To wash black clothes and to prevent the dye leaving them they should be washed in ivy water. The juice of the wild hyacinth is very poisonous. If a person handles the wild fire it will give them blisters. The "fox glove" when boiled is a cure for a burn The juice of the dandelion and the juice of the "seven sisters" are cures for warts.
The marsh mallow" is a cure for a swelling. The roots of the "noinin" and the bark of the Cooltree mixes (whi) with unsalted butter is a great cure for a burn Sage, when boiled is used to clear the throat. It is (always) also good to heal wounds if they are bathed in it. Mint is good(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
