Timothy Murphy says he was in bed that night with his brother. He heard the noise of motors on the road. His bed was opposite the window so he sat up and looked out.
To his great surprise he beheld a funeral with two priests, a horse, six motor cars and many people walking. Those people were dressed in black and white. He Timothy heard the people in conversation and asking each other where the graveyard was. Timothy's brother also saw the funeral.
The following day, Timothy met a neighbour who asked him if he had seen the night-funeral.
The man who killed himself was buried that day in the Kilmichael graveyard and his funeral was the exact same as Timothy & his brother & the neighbour had seen the previous night, the only difference being that the people walking didn't wear black and white.
It is said that a small light is still seen in the place where that man died.
