- There is a story told about the Kilcomhngall graveyard. The story is about a woman that was seen spitting fire out of her mouth. This happened at the time the people around here carried the butter to Bantry. They used leave late in the night and have their cars of butter in Bantry in the morning.
When they were coming near the graveyard a woman used come out of the graveyard spitting fire out of her mouth. When they saw her they used get afraid of her and run and leave their cars of butter there. She carried the most of the butter with her, and when they came back all their butter was gone.
