- Situated now in Mr Duke's land near Castletown Kenniegh is a large stone which weighs many tons. It is said that a giant named Tomás Mór lived about ten miles from Kenniegh at the foot of a hill called Corran and he said he would blow the top off the tower with the stone which was on the top of the hill. One summer morning he went up the side of the hill and cast the stone to this place. It landed about a quarter of a mile from the tower but he did not blow the top off the tower. It is there to be seen yet standing on an end and it is called the Finger Stone because it is shaped like a finger
