- (ar lean ón leathanach roimhe)When the potatoes were strained to make stampy they were wetted with cream. This mixture was flattened out on the bottom of a firkin. It was then put before a hot fire and when it would fall out of the firkin it was baked. It was eaten hot with milk. The people baked twice a week
- The slate used as a support to the stampy by some people was called a licín
"Cobbeldy" was made by placing one row of butter in an oven then a row of new potatoes. A row of butter again, and again a row of potatoes all of which was covered with butter. It was placed on the fire to bake and eaten hot with new milk. The new potatoes were never peeled- Bailitheoir
