In one of her letters to Miss Fitzsimmons, July 17th 1769 she mentions a little incident relative to her first attempts as school-mistress.
   She introduced the Ursulines into Ireland in 1771, but as they were founded for the education of the higher classes, and her desire was to instruct the poor, she laid the foundation of the Presentation Order towards the end of 1775, when the first Presentation Convent was opened in the City of Cork.
