- In olden times the people had three meals a day, the breakfast, dinner and supper.
Potatoes were used at the dinner and breakfast, and cider was also used as a table drink. Milk was very scarce at that time and very little of it was drunk. When the people drank it it was thick milk they drank.
The table was usually put in the centre of the floor.
The bread which the people ate at that time was made of one way flour. This flour was manufactured in mills around the district. Home-cured bacon and fresh meat was eaten by the people at that time. Fish was also eaten. The vegetables which the people used were, white carrots and cabbage.
This people used eat late at night after coming from their work.
