    On St. Patrick's day it is a custom among the people to wear shamrock and also to make a cross with green ribbon and wear it on the left arm. {(Addition by teacher) (.In some place the cross is put on the left arm with a burned stick. The person who lights the fire puts a short stick in the fire to make it black. With this the cross is made. Before and after the putting on of the cross the Sign of the Cross is made.     On May eve all the bounding fences are sprinkled with Holy Water and the cows are also sprinkled and on that night they are kept inside
    St John's Night
    On that night a bonfire is lighted in honour of St John and all the cows are made leap the bonfire three times
