   Woe betide the one who turned up his toes, as Dicky would use his cane to keep them down, he would then give a delightful exhibition of a promenade round the floor with one, two, three; one, two, three, to show the correct way to use their feet.
   Great sport was witnessed at these gatherines. Often times, when all were fixed according to their own choosing, Richard would stand in the middle of the floor and reverse every partner. Again if he happened to notice an awkward looking gentleman, he would roar "wheel up, wheel up, sure it is not the rock of Foynes you have."
   After each course of classes, there was always a benefit night, to which outsiders could attend by paying extra.
   Richard loved this night best of all, as when he had all the money got, he would suddenly stop playing the
