- Once upon a time there lived a very old woman near a fort. Every night she dreamed she saw strange sights. One time she saw people hurling, another time she dreamed she saw lights in the form of a ring. One night an old woman came into her house. She said they were having a great dinner up at the fort the following night, and she wanted the loan of her pans, kettles and pots. The old woman of the house was very clever and at once gathered all the pans that had been broken five years previous. She gave them to the woman and she returned to the fort with them.
