   the opposite side. Just above the manger eight or nine bars are erected a certain distance apart to give room to the horse to stick his mouth and to pull out the hay. There are three sets of each of these bars at each side of the manger. These bars are set above the manger because when the horse pulls out the hay from the bars the manger prevents the hay from falling to the ground and getting trampled with the horses feet. The horses are tied from rings nailed on to the side of the manger, with strong ropes from a strap which is tied round the horse's neck when he is inside. Sometimes eggs are hatched by hens and sometimes by an Incubator. Sometimes the eggs were marked with a pencil to know the difference between them and other eggs. Eggs are now hatched by
