   In Cuid I there is a note on the "Church of Say" (Saye). Reference is made to it in the Church taxation of 1302 as the "Church of Say, aliter Cathair-easa."    Tobar an tSaoi, thus extending the renown of the Saoi by about an Irish mile westward of the church that bears the name. I have at present no reasons for offering this Irish construction of the name beyond the mere sound an association I must however admit, that as I heard the name, the T of -tay is slender.

   
   An Chathair = "The Kaw-her", a mound with sunken fosse-like depression through it in a field belonging to John O'Malley Rosstemple. It is situated beside and east of the main road from Croom to Rath-luirc, immediately beyond Banogue Creamery two Irish miles from Croom. I have not seen it yet.
