25.2.1938 - Marriage Customs in CappamoreShrove is the popular marriage season in this locality. The luckiest days for weddings are Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, and the luckiest month is June, and July is the unluckiest month. On the morning of a marriage the bride is supposed to be at the church before the bridegroom and when the married pair are leaving the church confetti is thrown uno them, and money is thrown up for the poor people. Boots and ribbons are tied onto the car in which the married pair are. They also invite some friends to the wedding, and when they leave the church they go and have breakfast(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
