- One time there was living Kilbarron a man named Thady Gleeson. He had a dream one night, that there was a crock of gold under a bush. He went and dug for the gold and found it and under it was a flag-stone on which were some letters that he could not read. He took it home with him and made a seat from it.
At that time there were travelling scholars, called poor scholars, and they had to be kept in the farmer's houses in the night-time. This night one went into Thady's house and he was looking at the letters on the flag-stone. The man asked what they meant and he said that they meant, there was twice as much gold at the other side of the bush.(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)- Bailitheoir
