    renowned because of the healing properties of its waters. Every 15th August people from the district around came to pray at this well and drink of its waters. Invalids suffering from eye disease washed their eyes in the well. People from the neighbourhood used the water to make butter. One May morning a woman skimmed the well for the purpose of taking the neighbours butter. The well disappeared and it sprung up about forty yards away in river. The well can be seen up in the river. The place where the well was can still be seen and also the paved channel leading away from it.
